In previous weeks we discussed how the prophecies of nations have come to pass and some different ways in which God delivers us from fiery trials in our lives.
Today, in Daniel 4 we’ll see how God feels about pride in our lives and how He dealt with it in the life of king Nebuchadnezzar, ruler of the Babylonian empire.
But first I want us to see a prophecy from Isaiah concerning Babylon found in Isaiah 47:8a;
"Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me;"
I want us to see that this attitude is not just one of king Nebuchadnezzar, but it is one that is common to man in general.
